Prosecco Brut Rosé Il Vino dei Poeti 2020 (magnum)
The rosé type of Prosecco Vino dei Poeti is produced by blending Glera grapes vinified in white and Pinot noir grapes vinified with maceration. It has a delicate and refreshing taste, with pleasant floral and fruity aromas. It is a vintage sparkling wine. In particular, the Glera comes from the province of Treviso while the Pinot nero comes from Friuli-Venezia Giulia. The vineyards have an alluvial soil formed mainly of clay and enjoy a mild climate that favors the ripening of the grapes.
The Glera grapes are harvested in mid-September, are pressed and the free-run must ferments without skins in stainless steel vats at a controlled temperature. The Pinot Noir, on the other hand, is harvested at the end of August and the grapes undergo a cold maceration with the skins before the start of fermentation. They are then pressed and the free-run must, just dyed pink, ferments in stainless steel vats at a controlled temperature. The cuvée of the two varieties is then created; yeasts and sugars are added for the second fermentation which takes place in an autoclave according to the tank method. The sparkling wine ages in contact with the yeasts for at least two months.
