Banfi is one of the best known brands of Brunello di Montalcino. Among its 4 Brunello di Montalcino labels, this is the classic, obtained with grapes from various vineyards of the property. The vineyards of Castello Banfi have different terrains depending on the position. Some vineyards have sandy clay soil, others more stony and calcareous, in some vineyards there are particular blue clays.

The grapes ferment at a controlled temperature in Banfi patented vats made of wood and steel. The wine ages for two years in French oak barrels of various sizes.
