Le Fornaci Rosé 2021
Tommasi’s Le Fornaci rosé wine stands out for its harmonious, balanced, fruity and particularly mouthwatering taste. It is suitable to be served as an aperitif, but it also finds many pairing opportunities. Rosé Le Fornaci is original as it is produced by making wine together with black and white grapes. These are grapes grown around Lake Garda: the white grapes are of the Turbiana variety and come from Sirmione, the black grapes are of the Rondinella variety and come from Peschiera del Garda. The Lake Garda area with its soil rich in compact calcareous clay and its mild climate favors the perfect ripening of these grapes.
The harvest is separated by variety. The grapes remain in the press for one hour where the must gets into contact with the skins and the soft color is extracted from the black grapes. The pressing takes place slowly and ends after two hours. The two musts are clarified and then blended, to ferment together. Alcoholic fermentation takes place in stainless steel vats at a controlled temperature with selected yeasts. The wine ages in steel vats for 4 months.
