It is made from rye as a grain which makes up more than half of the initial mash, although the precise composition is not disclosed by the manufacturer. However, this is a limited selection of rye-based Whiskeys aged for a long time in toasted oak barrels. The basis of production is the search for the best quality rye grains, which give a particularly spicy taste. A prolonged aging in new charred barrels softens it to the right point. The aging reported on the label is at least 9 years.
