Islay Single Malt Scotch Whisky Aged 12 Years
Bowmore is not only the oldest of the distilleries present today on the island of Islay but it stands out because it independently produces peat malt according to the traditional practice of heating barley lying on stone floors. This 12-year aged pure barley malt whiskey is complex and balanced, combining the peaty flavor with a marine and fruity taste. This is why it is a whisky that makes all consumers agree. Distillation is discontinuous in traditional copper stills and aging for 12 years takes place in oak barrels placed in rooms dug below sea level.
Among the international awards, this 12 year old Islay Single Malt Scotch Whiskey Bowmore obtained twice the gold medal: in 2018 at the San Francisco World Spirits Competition and in 2017 at the International Spirit Challenge.
