Franciacorta Brut Satèn Donna Cora 2016

Donna Cora is a creamy and elegant sparkling wine, obtained from only Chardonnay in a vintage version. Chardonnay is the most cultivated grape in Franciacorta and the satèn type is the one that best represents this territory. In particular, the grapes come from morainic hills in the center of Franciacorta, processed in the cellar of Tenuta Montenisa owned by the Marchesi Antinori. It is an elegant sparkling wine with a soft effervescence and balanced freshness. It highlights the more elegant side of Chardonnay: its floral and fruity aromas and its grace on the palate. Therefore it is ideal as an aperitif and can please everyone.

The grapes are harvested by hand. Whole bunches are pressed to extract the purest must. This ferments in stainless steel vats at a controlled temperature. The base wine remains in steel for a few months and then undergoes the second fermentation in the bottle according to the traditional method. The sparkling wine ages in contact with the lees in the bottle for at least 24 months.
